Woodstock Neighborhood Emergency Team (NET) can help you and your neighbors get prepared and build community resilience. NET volunteers get free training from the Portland Bureau of Emergency Management (PBEM) and Portland Fire & Rescue. Learn lifesaving skills to help neighbors during emergencies, big or small.
Woodstock NET is actively recruiting new members, and we’d love to meet you! No prior experience or training needed.
Woodstock NET organizes monthly trainings on topics including first aid, radio communications, urban search and rescue, fire suppression, disaster sanitation, and many others. Trainings are open to all; no previous experience needed. Join our email list for invites and updates.
Join your neighborsReady to take the next step? Sign up to become an active NET Volunteer. You'll get 28 hours of free training from PBEM and Portland Fire & Rescue. Active NETs are eligible for deployments and more advanced training, including CPR/AED, Wilderness First Aid, HAZMAT awareness, advanced radio communications training, and more.
Become a NETPods are small groups of neighbors (2 or more nearby households) with a shared interest in helping each other during emergencies. Pods help build neighborhood relationships, expand social connections, and share emergency prep skills. If you're interested in joining or leading a pod, get in touch!
